Description:

The PGY2 Infectious Diseases (ID) Pharmacy Residency at Maine Medical Center is a one-year specialty-training program that offers residents training in ID pharmacotherapy with an emphasis on antimicrobial stewardship. Resident will learn from a team of 5 highly trained infectious diseases pharmacists in adult and pediatric antimicrobial stewardship, infectious diseases consultation, ambulatory, and virology. Additional experiences include microbiology, epidemiology, critical care, oncology, solid organ transplant, and opportunities to provide didactic and education to various groups of individuals. The resident will also be expected to participate in interdisciplinary antimicrobial stewardship committee, independent research, quality improvement initiatives, and formulary management.  The program location has easy access to outdoor activities (e.g., beaches, lakes, mountains) and top-notch restaurants.  Come see what Portland, Maine has to offer!
